Oversee and manage the billing and coding operations for surgical services at Baptist Health South Florida.<\/p>\n
Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry regulations and guidelines.<\/p>\n
Supervise a team of billing and coding professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.<\/p>\n
Review and monitor coding procedures and documentation to ensure proper reimbursement and minimize errors.<\/p>\n
Train and educate staff on new coding and billing guidelines, as well as changes in healthcare regulations.<\/p>\n
Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in surgical billing and coding.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and clinical staff, to ensure proper documentation and coding for accurate billing.<\/p>\n
Stay current on industry changes and updates related to surgical billing and coding.<\/p>\n
Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve any billing or coding discrepancies.<\/p>\n
Prepare and present reports on billing and coding performance to management.<\/p>\n
Identify and address any coding or billing issues and work towards solutions to improve processes.<\/p>\n
Train and mentor new team members to ensure a cohesive and knowledgeable team.<\/p>\n
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.<\/p>\n

Bachelor’s Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.<\/p>\n

Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Surgical Billing And Coding.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Previous Supervisory Experience In A Healthcare Setting.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Coding Guidelines, And Insurance Regulations.<\/p>\n
