Assess and evaluate patients’ respiratory function and develop individualized treatment plans.<\/p>\n
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications according to physician orders and established protocols.<\/p>\n
Monitor patients’ responses to treatments and adjust care as needed.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all patients.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care for patients.<\/p>\n
Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment and supplies.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date on current respiratory therapy practices and techniques through continuing education.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, related to respiratory therapy.<\/p>\n
Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families, providing emotional support as needed.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.<\/p>\n
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following infection control and safety protocols.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Active Certification As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) By The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Current Licensure As A Respiratory Therapist In The State Of Florida.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Respiratory Therapy Procedures, Equipment, And Medications, As Well As The Ability To Interpret And Analyze Patient Data To Determine Appropriate Treatment Plans.<\/p>\n
