Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment, ensuring it is clean and in proper working order for procedures.<\/p>\n
Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures, anticipating their needs and providing support as needed.<\/p>\n
Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the medical team.<\/p>\n
Set up and maintain sterile fields and assist with sterile procedures as needed.<\/p>\n
Prepare and administer medications and IVs as directed by the medical team.<\/p>\n
Document all procedures accurately and in a timely manner, including patient information, procedure details, and any complications or adverse reactions.<\/p>\n
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support regarding the procedure and post-procedure care.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of endoscopic procedures and equipment.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.<\/p>\n
Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.<\/p>\n
Attend trainings and continuing education opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Minimum Education: High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required. A Degree In A Related Field Such As Surgical Technology, Nursing, Or Medical Assisting Is Preferred.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Certification: Must Be A Certified Endoscopic Technician (Cet) Or Certified Gastrointestinal Technician (Cgt) Through A Recognized National Certification Program Such As The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Experience: Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Endoscopy Technician In A Hospital Or Outpatient Setting Is Preferred. Experience With A Variety Of Endoscopic Procedures And Equipment Is Highly Desirable.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Technical Skills: Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Endoscopy Equipment, Tools, And Techniques. Proficiency In Setting Up And Maintaining Endoscopic Equipment, Sterilization Processes, And Infection Control Protocols Is Essential.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Communication And Teamwork: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary For This Role. Must Be Able To Work Effectively As A Team Member And Communicate Clearly With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide High-Quality Care To Patients.<\/p>\n
