Greet and welcome patients and their families upon arrival to the Admitting department in a friendly and professional manner.<\/p>\n
Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information accurately and efficiently.<\/p>\n
Utilize computer systems to register patients, verify insurance coverage, and process payments.<\/p>\n
Explain financial policies, procedures, and payment options to patients and answer any questions or concerns they may have.<\/p>\n
Ensure all necessary forms and documents are completed and signed by the patient or their representative.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other departments and team members to obtain necessary information for billing and insurance processing.<\/p>\n
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.<\/p>\n
Review and reconcile patient accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of charges and payments.<\/p>\n
Address any discrepancies or issues with insurance companies or patients regarding billing and payments.<\/p>\n
Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to patient inquiries and resolving any concerns or complaints.<\/p>\n
Stay updated on insurance billing and coding guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial processes.<\/p>\n
Assist in training and mentoring new team members as needed.<\/p>\n
Keep track of daily tasks and prioritize workload to ensure all financial responsibilities are completed in a timely manner.<\/p>\n
Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with patients, families, and coworkers.<\/p>\n
