Conduct various nuclear imaging procedures, including PET scans, SPECT scans, and cardiac stress tests, in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.<\/p>\n
Operate and maintain complex nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality of images.<\/p>\n
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and established safety protocols.<\/p>\n
Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing and responding to any adverse reactions or changes in condition.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques and provide accurate diagnostic information.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.<\/p>\n
Assist with quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and safety of imaging equipment and procedures.<\/p>\n
Follow all radiation safety procedures and protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.<\/p>\n
Stay current with advancements and developments in nuclear medicine technology, procedures, and safety protocols.<\/p>\n
Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and confidentiality at all times.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining procedures and answering any questions.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, related to nuclear medicine procedures.<\/p>\n
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper disposal of hazardous materials and adherence to infection control protocols.<\/p>\n
Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with industry advancements.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Program.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Arrt (N) Certification Or Cnmt Certification From Nmtcb.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Setting As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Radiation Safety And Patient Care In Nuclear Medicine.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.<\/p>\n
