Perform endoscopy procedures with precision and accuracy, following established protocols and guidelines.<\/p>\n
Set up and prepare equipment and instruments for procedures, ensuring proper functionality and sterile conditions.<\/p>\n
Assist physicians during procedures by providing necessary instruments, handling specimens, and monitoring patient vital signs.<\/p>\n
Maintain a safe and clean environment in the endoscopy suite, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.<\/p>\n
Document and maintain accurate records of all procedures, including patient information, equipment used, and any complications or incidents.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.<\/p>\n
Keep up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices in endoscopy procedures, and incorporate them into daily practice.<\/p>\n
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.<\/p>\n
Demonstrate a professional, compassionate, and empathetic demeanor towards patients and their families.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and ethical standards.<\/p>\n
Mentor and train new Endoscopy Technicians, providing guidance and support to promote their professional development.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with supply chain and purchasing departments to ensure adequate supply levels and proper inventory management.<\/p>\n
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following proper infection control and sterilization procedures.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As An Endoscopy Technician In A Hospital Or Outpatient Center Setting.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Completion Of A Recognized Endoscopy Technician Training Program.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Current Certification As A Certified Gastroenterology Technician (Cgt) Or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (Cfer).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Knowledge Of Endoscopy Equipment, Procedures, And Infection Control Protocols.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Communication And Patient Care Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.<\/p>\n
