Safely transport patients to and from designated areas within the facility, including diagnostic and treatment areas, using appropriate transportation equipment.<\/p>\n
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with patients, their families, and healthcare staff.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the well-being of patients during transport.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with nursing and support staff to prioritize and coordinate patient transportation needs.<\/p>\n
Keep accurate records of patient transportation activities, including destinations, times, and any special instructions.<\/p>\n
Respond promptly and efficiently to any emergency requests for patient transport.<\/p>\n
Assist in the transfer of patients to and from stretchers, wheelchairs, and other transportation devices.<\/p>\n
Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of transportation equipment and report any issues to the appropriate department.<\/p>\n
Communicate any patient concerns or changes in condition to the nursing staff.<\/p>\n
Attend all required trainings and meetings to stay current with transportation protocols and procedures.<\/p>\n
Follow Baptist Health South Florida’s policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, at all times.<\/p>\n
Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and promoting a positive image of Baptist Health South Florida.<\/p>\n
Perform other duties as assigned by the transportation supervisor or nursing staff.<\/p>\n

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Transporter Job At Baptist Health South Florida Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Basic Literacy And Numeracy Skills.<\/p>\n
