Provide exceptional nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with Baptist Health South Florida’s standards and protocols.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Conduct pre-operative assessments and provide education to patients and their families regarding their surgical procedure.<\/p>\n
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.<\/p>\n
Monitor patients’ vital signs and assess for any changes in their condition.<\/p>\n
Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.<\/p>\n
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the surgical environment, including setting up and cleaning equipment and supplies.<\/p>\n
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean surgical environment.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date with current nursing practices and attend continuing education programs to maintain licensure and enhance skills.<\/p>\n
Act as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing any concerns or needs.<\/p>\n
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.<\/p>\n
Demonstrate professionalism and maintain a positive attitude towards patients, colleagues, and the organization.<\/p>\n

Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment Used In The Operating Room.<\/p>\n
