Assist the Emergency Department (ED) staff in providing exceptional patient care by performing a variety of tasks and procedures.<\/p>\n
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of patient rooms and equipment in the ED.<\/p>\n
Collect and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.<\/p>\n
Prepare patients for procedures and assist with patient transfers.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.<\/p>\n
Assist with patient intake and registration, ensuring all necessary information is collected and entered accurately.<\/p>\n
Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their time in the ED.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and support.<\/p>\n
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices and procedures in the ED.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with the ED team to report any changes or concerns regarding patient care.<\/p>\n
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, representing Baptist Health South Florida and the ED team with integrity and compassion.<\/p>\n
Assist with stocking and ordering of medical supplies, ensuring availability and proper storage.<\/p>\n
Follow all hospital policies and procedures and comply with regulatory standards.<\/p>\n
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall functioning of the ED and the hospital.<\/p>\n
