Assist experienced respiratory therapists in providing care to patients with respiratory disorders.<\/p>\n
Perform basic respiratory therapy procedures, such as administering oxygen therapy and monitoring patients’ breathing.<\/p>\n
Learn and follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of equipment.<\/p>\n
Participate in patient evaluations and assessments under the supervision of licensed respiratory therapists.<\/p>\n
Document patients’ progress and maintain accurate and thorough records.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.<\/p>\n
Attend and actively participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.<\/p>\n
Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct at all times.<\/p>\n
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.<\/p>\n

Completion Of An Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program: A Respiratory Therapist Intern At Baptist Health South Florida Must Have Completed An Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program To Ensure They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Duties.<\/p>\n

Certification As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt): Candidates For The Respiratory Therapist Intern Position Should Hold A Current Rrt Certification, Demonstrating Their Competency In The Field Of Respiratory Therapy.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications: Baptist Health South Florida Requires All Respiratory Therapist Interns To Hold Current Bls And Acls Certifications To Ensure They Can Provide Emergency Care To Patients.<\/p>\n
