Provide direct patient care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery.<\/p>\n
Monitor and assess the health and well-being of mothers and newborns, including vital signs, fetal heart rate, and contraction patterns.<\/p>\n
Administer medications and assist with medical procedures as needed.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families about the labor and delivery process, postpartum care, and newborn care.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.<\/p>\n
Monitor and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure the highest quality of care.<\/p>\n
Stay current with new developments and techniques in labor and delivery nursing.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the labor and delivery department.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.<\/p>\n
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow all HIPAA regulations.<\/p>\n
Provide emotional support to patients and families during the labor and delivery process.<\/p>\n
Assist with postpartum care and breastfeeding support as needed.<\/p>\n
Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.<\/p>\n
