Verify patient information and ensure all necessary documentation is complete.<\/p>\n
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries and requests from patients.<\/p>\n
Provide information to patients regarding services and procedures offered by the healthcare facility.<\/p>\n
Maintain and update patient records with accurate and relevant information.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth operations.<\/p>\n
Collect and process patient payments, as needed.<\/p>\n
Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n
Handle and resolve patient complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.<\/p>\n

Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In This Role As The Patient Access Scheduler 1 Will Be Interacting With Various Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis.<\/p>\n

Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential To Effectively Schedule Appointments And Communicate With Healthcare Providers.<\/p>\n

Experience With Electronic Medical Record (Emr) Systems: Baptist Health South Florida Utilizes Electronic Medical Record Systems, So Proficiency In Navigating And Using These Systems Is Necessary For This Position.<\/p>\n
