Assisting surgeons: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments and other necessary equipment.<\/p>\n
Maintaining sterile environment: It is the responsibility of the Surgical Tech to ensure that the operating room is kept sterile and all necessary equipment is properly sterilized.<\/p>\n
Preparing surgical equipment: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for setting up the necessary surgical equipment before a procedure, ensuring that everything is in proper working order.<\/p>\n
Collaborating with medical team: The Surgical Tech will work closely with other members of the medical team, including surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists, to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Monitoring patient vital signs: During surgery, the Surgical Tech will be responsible for monitoring the patient’s vital signs and reporting any changes to the medical team.<\/p>\n
Stocking and organizing supplies: The Surgical Tech will be responsible for stocking and organizing surgical supplies, ensuring that everything is readily available for procedures.<\/p>\n
Assisting with patient positioning: The Surgical Tech will assist with positioning patients on the operating table, ensuring their comfort and safety during the procedure.<\/p>\n
Maintaining documentation: The Surgical Tech will maintain accurate and detailed documentation before, during, and after surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Adhering to safety protocols: It is the responsibility of the Surgical Tech to adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of patients and medical staff.<\/p>\n
Continuously learning and improving: The Surgical Tech will stay updated on the latest surgical techniques and technologies, continuously improving their skills to provide the best possible care for patients.<\/p>\n

Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technology Program: Applicants For A Surgical Tech Job At Yale New Haven Health System Must Have Successfully Completed An Accredited Program In Surgical Technology. This Ensures That They Have Received The Necessary Training And Education To Perform Their Duties Effectively.<\/p>\n

Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential: Candidates Must Hold A Current Cst Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa). This Certification Demonstrates That They Have Met The National Standards For Knowledge And Skills In Surgical Technology.<\/p>\n

Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: Yale New Haven Health System Requires Applicants To Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Tech. This Ensures That Candidates Are Familiar With The Procedures And Equipment Used In A Surgical Setting, As Well As The Fast-Paced And High-Pressure Nature Of The Job.<\/p>\n

Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Surgical Procedures And Be Familiar With The Equipment And Instruments Used In The Operating Room.
