Assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Prepare and maintain operating room equipment and supplies.<\/p>\n
Ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are available for each procedure.<\/p>\n
Anticipate the needs of surgeons and nurses during procedures.<\/p>\n
Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the operating room.<\/p>\n
Set up and maintain surgical trays and instruments.<\/p>\n
Perform pre-operative patient preparation, including positioning and draping.<\/p>\n
Assist with patient transfers to and from the operating room.<\/p>\n
Monitor and document patient vital signs during procedures.<\/p>\n
Anticipate potential complications and take appropriate action.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and complete records of procedures and supplies used.<\/p>\n
Clean and maintain operating room equipment.<\/p>\n
Attend and participate in training and educational programs.<\/p>\n
Display professionalism and compassion towards patients and their families.<\/p>\n
Comply with all hospital policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Certification As A Surgical Technologist: Candidates Must Have Completed An Accredited Surgical Technology Program And Hold A Current Certification From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Education Requirements: Applicants Must Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With Preference Given To Those With Additional Education Or Training In The Field Of Surgical Technology.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Operating Room Experience: Prior Experience Working In An Operating Room Setting Is Preferred, With A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technologist.<\/p>\n

Knowledge Of Surgical Equipment And Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Surgical Equipment, Instruments, And Procedures, As Well As The Ability To Anticipate The Needs Of The Surgeon During Procedures.<\/p>\n
