Provide direct patient care to individuals with infectious diseases, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.<\/p>\n
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families on infection prevention and control measures, as well as proper medication administration and management.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively and efficiently with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and patient satisfaction.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of patient care.<\/p>\n
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices in infectious disease care.<\/p>\n
Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of infectious diseases.<\/p>\n
Serve as a patient advocate and provide emotional support to patients and their families during their healthcare journey.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.<\/p>\n
Continuously assess and evaluate patient outcomes and modify care plans as needed.<\/p>\n
Mentor and precept new staff members and students to promote a culture of learning and growth.<\/p>\n
Remain compliant with all state and federal regulations and standards related to infectious disease care.<\/p>\n
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare disciplines to ensure comprehensive and holistic patient care.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Active Rn License In The State Of Connecticut.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Certification In Infection Control (Cic) Preferred.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Setting, Preferably In Infectious Disease.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Knowledge Of Infectious Diseases And Current Treatment Protocols.<\/p>\n
