In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to our tiniest patients and their families. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated and caring individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level III NICU. You must also possess a current RN license in the state of Connecticut and hold a BSN degree. Provide specialized care to newborns in the NICU, utilizing evidence-based and family-centered approach.<\/p>\n
Assess and monitor the health status of neonatal patients, including vital signs, lab results, and changes in condition.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.<\/p>\n
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.<\/p>\n
Educate and support families in caring for their newborns, including breastfeeding, safe sleep practices, and developmental milestones.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.<\/p>\n
Advocate for patients and families to ensure their needs are met and rights are respected.<\/p>\n
Monitor and maintain medical equipment and supplies in the NICU.<\/p>\n
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in neonatal nursing.<\/p>\n
Utilize critical thinking skills to make quick and effective decisions in emergency situations.<\/p>\n
Foster a positive and supportive work environment by communicating effectively and collaborating with team members.<\/p>\n
Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.<\/p>\n
Serve as a resource and mentor for new NICU nurses.<\/p>\n
Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.<\/p>\n
Continuously strive to improve the quality of care provided to neonatal patients and their families.<\/p>\n

Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing: Candidates Must Possess A Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.<\/p>\n

Current Rn License: Candidates Must Hold A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Of Connecticut.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) Certification: Candidates Must Have Current Nrp Certification Or Be Willing To Obtain It Within A Specified Period Of Time.<\/p>\n

Minimum Of 1 Year Of Nicu Experience: Candidates Must Have At Least 1 Year Of Experience Working In A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.<\/p>\n
