Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients with cancer undergoing surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.<\/p>\n
Monitor and assess patients’ physical and emotional well-being before, during, and after surgery.<\/p>\n
Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.<\/p>\n
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.<\/p>\n
Advocate for patients’ needs and promote a patient-centered approach to care.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and research in surgical oncology.<\/p>\n
Assist in the coordination of care and discharge planning for patients.<\/p>\n
Provide support and guidance to patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of the department.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Connecticut.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Surgical Oncology Or A Related Field.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Certification In Oncology Nursing (Ocn) Or Surgical Oncology (Cso) Preferred.<\/p>\n
