Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.<\/p>\n
Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.<\/p>\n
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide support as needed.<\/p>\n
Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the operating room.<\/p>\n
Monitor and document patient vital signs during surgery.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with surgical team members to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.<\/p>\n
Follow all hospital policies and protocols to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.<\/p>\n
Provide emotional support to patients and their families before and after surgery.<\/p>\n
Assist with patient positioning and draping.<\/p>\n
Manage and dispose of surgical waste and supplies according to hospital guidelines.<\/p>\n
Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on surgical techniques and procedures.<\/p>\n
Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.<\/p>\n
Adhere to strict infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infections.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and patient information.<\/p>\n
Continuously assess and improve upon surgical processes to increase efficiency and quality of care.<\/p>\n

Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential Through The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa)<\/p>\n

Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technologist In A Hospital Setting<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Knowledge Of Sterile Techniques And Infection Control Procedures<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ability To Anticipate Surgeon’s Needs And Assist With Surgical Procedures<\/p>\n
