Provide exceptional respiratory care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Administer and monitor respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy.<\/p>\n
Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, and make appropriate adjustments to respiratory therapies based on results.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients.<\/p>\n
Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments, and make recommendations for modifications as necessary.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts.<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing best practices in respiratory care.<\/p>\n
Stay informed about advancements in respiratory care and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.<\/p>\n
Maintain professional relationships and effective communication with patients, their families, and members of the healthcare team.<\/p>\n
Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice and maintain patient confidentiality.<\/p>\n
Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.<\/p>\n
Adhere to schedule and respond to urgent patient needs in a timely manner.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Current License To Practice As A Respiratory Therapist In The State Of Connecticut.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Acute Care Environment.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Collaborative Team Environment.<\/p>\n
