Provide exceptional nursing care to patients with neurological disorders and injuries.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.<\/p>\n
Monitor and assess patient progress, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.<\/p>\n
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatments, and self-care techniques.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.<\/p>\n
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and address patient needs.<\/p>\n
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.<\/p>\n
Serve as a patient advocate and ensure that their rights and needs are respected.<\/p>\n
Participate in unit and hospital initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.<\/p>\n
Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.<\/p>\n
Stay current on advancements and developments in neuroscience nursing through continuing education and professional development opportunities.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all ethical, legal and regulatory standards in nursing practice.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Valid Rn License: Candidates Must Hold A Current And Active Rn License In The State Of Connecticut.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing (Bsn): Preference Will Be Given To Candidates Who Hold A Bsn From An Accredited Nursing Program.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Neuroscience Unit: Candidates Must Have At Least 2 Years Of Recent Experience Working In A Neuroscience Unit, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: All Candidates Must Hold A Current Bls Certification From The American Heart Association.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification: Candidates Must Also Hold A Current Acls Certification From The American Heart Association, Or Be Willing To Obtain It Within 3 Months Of Hire.<\/p>\n
