Provide direct patient care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, including assessment, monitoring, and administering medications and treatments.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for critically ill patients.<\/p>\n
Utilize advanced nursing skills and knowledge to manage complex medical conditions and emergencies.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and treatment plans.<\/p>\n
Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, laboratory values, and other diagnostic test results to assess patient status and make appropriate care decisions.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.<\/p>\n
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.<\/p>\n
Assist with procedures and surgeries as needed, ensuring proper preparation and post-operative care.<\/p>\n
Serve as a resource and mentor to other members of the healthcare team, including nursing students and new nurses.<\/p>\n
Stay current with advancements and changes in medical practices and technology, incorporating them into patient care as appropriate.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide a seamless and coordinated transition of care for patients.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities to promote the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.<\/p>\n
Maintain professional standards of practice and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
