Assisting with surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgeon and other members of the surgical team.<\/p>\n
Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to infection control protocols and procedures.<\/p>\n
Preparing and organizing surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition and readily available for use.<\/p>\n
Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and responding quickly and efficiently to requests for instruments and supplies.<\/p>\n
Monitoring and documenting patient vital signs and assisting with patient positioning and draping.<\/p>\n
Ensuring the proper handling and disposal of surgical specimens according to established protocols.<\/p>\n
Assisting with the maintenance and cleaning of surgical equipment and supplies, reporting any malfunction or damage to the appropriate personnel.<\/p>\n
Collaborating with other members of the surgical team to ensure the safety and comfort of the patient during the surgical procedure.<\/p>\n
Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, related to surgical technology and patient care.<\/p>\n
Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in surgical technology and techniques.<\/p>\n
Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families before, during, and after surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Communicating effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care.<\/p>\n
Maintaining accurate and complete documentation of all procedures and patient care activities.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Completion Of A Surgical Technologist Program: Candidates Must Have Completed A Surgical Technologist Program From An Accredited Institution To Be Considered For This Position.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Certification: Candidates Must Have A Valid Certification As A Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Experience: Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technologist In A Hospital Setting Is Required. Preference Will Be Given To Candidates With Experience In Complex Surgical Procedures.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Surgical Procedures, Instruments, And Equipment Used In Various Surgeries. Knowledge Of Sterile Techniques And Infection Control Is Also Necessary.<\/p>\n

Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: This Role Requires Candidates To Work Efficiently And Effectively In A Fast-Paced Surgical Environment.
