Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ respiratory health, including taking medical histories, performing diagnostic tests, and evaluating symptoms.<\/p>\n
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with respiratory disorders, including administering medication, providing airway clearance techniques, and utilizing breathing exercises.<\/p>\n
Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families about respiratory health and disease prevention.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.<\/p>\n
Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly.<\/p>\n
Ensure all equipment and supplies are maintained and functioning properly.<\/p>\n
Stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy and implement new techniques and technologies as appropriate.<\/p>\n
Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Current And Valid Respiratory Therapist License In The State Of Connecticut.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist In A Hospital Setting.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.<\/p>\n
