Conducting perfusion services during surgical procedures to ensure the safe and effective function of the heart and lungs.<\/p>\n
Operating and maintaining the heart-lung machine during surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Monitoring and adjusting blood flow, oxygenation, and temperature levels during surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Administering medications and blood products as directed by the surgeon.<\/p>\n
Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.<\/p>\n
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of perfusion activities.<\/p>\n
Troubleshooting and resolving any equipment malfunctions or complications during surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Staying current with new perfusion techniques and technologies.<\/p>\n
Complying with all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.<\/p>\n
Providing support and guidance to other healthcare professionals regarding perfusion techniques and procedures.<\/p>\n
Communicating effectively with patients and their families to ensure they understand the perfusion process and any potential risks.<\/p>\n
Participating in quality improvement initiatives and maintaining performance standards.<\/p>\n

Certification By The American Board Of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Abcp).<\/p>\n
