Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to older adult patients in acute care settings.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.<\/p>\n
Monitor and assess patients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.<\/p>\n
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards, including infection control protocols.<\/p>\n
Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing their concerns and needs with empathy and professionalism.<\/p>\n
Continuously evaluate and improve nursing practices to provide the highest level of care.<\/p>\n
Serve as a resource and mentor to other nursing staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.<\/p>\n
Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Current And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Connecticut.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Acute Care Setting, Preferably With A Focus On Older Adult Patients.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Certification In Gerontological Nursing (Gn) Or Willingness To Obtain Within 1 Year Of Employment.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With A Multidisciplinary Team.<\/p>\n
