Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Stepdown unit.<\/p>\n
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, response to medications and treatments, and potential complications.<\/p>\n
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.<\/p>\n
Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address any changes in patient condition.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and their families regarding treatment plans and progress.<\/p>\n
Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and self-management strategies.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date with current best practices in cardiac care and implement evidence-based interventions.<\/p>\n
Act as a resource and mentor for less experienced nurses on the unit.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.<\/p>\n
Continuously assess and improve nursing practices to ensure quality patient care.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects.<\/p>\n
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Current And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Ohio.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Bls And Acls Certification.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Cardiac Or Surgical Stepdown Unit.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Cardiovascular And Thoracic Surgical Procedures, Post-Operative Care, And Hemodynamic Monitoring.<\/p>\n
