Provide expert legal advice and support to the company on all matters related to government contracts.<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with government regulations and requirements, including those related to procurement, bidding, and contract management.<\/p>\n
Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on changes in government contract laws and regulations.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business leaders and other members of the legal department, to identify and mitigate legal risks associated with government contracts.<\/p>\n
Draft, review, and negotiate government contracts, including subcontracts and teaming agreements.<\/p>\n
Advise on potential legal issues and implications of proposed business strategies and transactions involving government contracts.<\/p>\n
Develop and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and stakeholders, including attending meetings and negotiations as necessary.<\/p>\n
Manage and oversee outside counsel on government contract matters.<\/p>\n
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to government contracts.<\/p>\n
Participate in internal investigations and audits related to government contracts and provide guidance on corrective actions.<\/p>\n
Train and educate employees on government contract compliance and related legal matters.<\/p>\n
Monitor and report on changes in government contract laws and regulations that may impact the company.<\/p>\n
Represent the company in legal proceedings related to government contracts, as needed.<\/p>\n
Support the General Counsel and other senior leaders in developing and executing legal strategies and initiatives.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Government Contracts Law, Preferably In A Corporate Legal Department Or Law Firm Setting<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Understanding Of Federal Acquisition Regulations (Far), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (Dfars), And Other Relevant Government Contracting Laws And Regulations<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Proven Track Record Of Providing Legal Counsel And Support To Government Contracts Teams, Including Contract Drafting And Negotiation, Risk Assessment, And Compliance Advice<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Government Stakeholders At All Levels.<\/p>\n
