Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the soft goods category, in line with the company’s overall goals and objectives.<\/p>\n
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competition within the soft goods category.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and supply chain, to drive category growth and profitability.<\/p>\n
Monitor and analyze sales data to make data-driven decisions and recommendations for assortment, pricing, and promotions.<\/p>\n
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms and pricing for soft goods products.<\/p>\n
Oversee the development and implementation of marketing plans and campaigns for the soft goods category.<\/p>\n
Lead, mentor, and train a team of associates to ensure a high level of performance and customer service.<\/p>\n
Set and achieve sales targets for the soft goods category, while managing expenses and maximizing profitability.<\/p>\n
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure alignment and support for category initiatives.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and customer preferences to identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth and innovation within the soft goods category.<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards in all category management activities.<\/p>\n
Continuously evaluate and improve processes and strategies to enhance category performance and customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n
Represent the company at industry events and conferences, building and maintaining a strong network within the retail industry.<\/p>\n
