Develop and implement training programs and strategies to improve the performance of athletes in track and field and cross country events.<\/p>\n
Assist the head coach in organizing and conducting practices, competitions, and team meetings.<\/p>\n
Provide individualized coaching and feedback to athletes to help them reach their full potential.<\/p>\n
Monitor and track the progress and development of athletes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.<\/p>\n
Assist in recruiting and retaining talented student-athletes for the track and field and cross country programs.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to create a positive team culture and foster a supportive and inclusive environment for athletes.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.<\/p>\n
Assist in budget management and fundraising efforts for the track and field and cross country programs.<\/p>\n
Serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, academic success, and personal growth.<\/p>\n
Attend and participate in department meetings, events, and professional development opportunities.<\/p>\n
Maintain open and effective communication with athletes, coaches, and other staff members.<\/p>\n
Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach or athletic department.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Kinesiology, Sports Science, Or Exercise Physiology.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Previous Experience Coaching Track & Field And\/Or Cross Country At The High School Or Collegiate Level.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Knowledge And Understanding Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Mentor And Motivate Student-Athletes.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Cpr And First Aid Certification, Or Willingness To Obtain These Certifications Within A Specified Timeframe.<\/p>\n
