Oversee the day-to-day operations of a residence hall, including managing budgets, coordinating maintenance requests, and ensuring a clean and safe living environment for students.<\/p>\n
Develop and implement programs and initiatives to promote community building, diversity, and inclusivity within the residence hall.<\/p>\n
Serve as a mentor and resource for students, offering guidance and support in personal and academic matters.<\/p>\n
Create and enforce policies and procedures to maintain a positive and respectful living environment for all residents.<\/p>\n
Supervise and train a team of Resident Assistants, providing ongoing support and guidance in their roles.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with campus departments and resources to address and resolve any issues or concerns within the residence hall.<\/p>\n
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and campus stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and promote a positive living experience.<\/p>\n
Plan and oversee move-in and move-out processes, including room assignments, roommate conflicts, and room inspections.<\/p>\n
Participate in on-call duty rotation to respond to emergencies and provide support to students outside of regular business hours.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date on best practices in student development and implement strategies to support the personal and academic growth of residents.<\/p>\n
Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate records and reports related to residence hall operations, student conduct, and staff performance.<\/p>\n
Uphold and promote the mission and values of Azusa Pacific University in all aspects of the role.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Or Related Field.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Residence Life Or Related Field, Preferably In A Supervisory Role.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Knowledge Of Student Development Theory And Ability To Apply It In Creating A Positive And Inclusive Living Environment.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
