Oversee and manage the company’s cost accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.<\/p>\n
Analyze and review cost data to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.<\/p>\n
Develop and maintain cost accounting policies and procedures that comply with GAAP and company standards.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine standard costs for new and existing products.<\/p>\n
Monitor and track inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.<\/p>\n
Prepare and present cost analysis reports to upper management, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist with internal and external audits.<\/p>\n
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve the company’s profitability.<\/p>\n
Train and mentor junior cost accountants to ensure a high level of accuracy and efficiency in cost accounting processes.<\/p>\n
Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to cost accounting and make recommendations for process improvements.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate and timely financial information for budgeting and forecasting purposes.<\/p>\n
Act as a subject matter expert on cost accounting matters and provide guidance to other departments as needed.<\/p>\n
