Collaborate with design and production teams to understand their material and supplier needs, and source accordingly.<\/p>\n
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and quality for materials.<\/p>\n
Maintain a database of approved suppliers and materials, regularly updating and evaluating their performance.<\/p>\n
Conduct market analysis to identify potential new suppliers and materials that could enhance our product offerings.<\/p>\n
Monitor and track supplier performance, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.<\/p>\n
Work closely with the production team to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.<\/p>\n
Communicate with suppliers to gather information and maintain positive relationships.<\/p>\n
Coordinate with logistics and shipping departments to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of materials.<\/p>\n
Review and analyze pricing and sourcing data to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.<\/p>\n
Assist in the creation of sourcing strategies and plans to support company goals and objectives.<\/p>\n
Prepare and present reports to management on sourcing activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to sourcing and procurement.<\/p>\n
Attend trade shows and industry events to network with potential suppliers and stay informed on new materials and technologies.<\/p>\n
