Conduct thorough review and examination of construction plans to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations set by the City of Pittsburgh.
Identify potential safety hazards and violations in construction plans and communicate necessary changes to project stakeholders.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other city officials to resolve any issues or discrepancies found in construction plans.
Utilize knowledge of building codes and regulations to provide guidance and assistance to project stakeholders on compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all reviewed plans and related correspondence.
Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans.
Stay up-to-date on changes and updates to building codes and regulations, and communicate any changes to project stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide timely updates on plan reviews and inspections.
Provide exceptional customer service to project stakeholders, answering any questions and addressing concerns related to the plan review process.
Collaborate with other city departments and agencies as needed to ensure smooth and efficient processing of construction plans.
Continuously monitor and improve the plan review process to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Adhere to all ethical and professional standards set by the City of Pittsburgh.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the City of Pittsburgh’s construction department.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by superiors.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree In Architecture, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Interacting With Contractors, Architects, And Other Stakeholders.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Construction Plan Review And Inspection.
Knowledge Of Building Codes, Zoning Regulations, And Construction Industry Standards.
Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Interpret Complex Construction Plans And Specifications.
