Monitor and maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and employees.
Conduct regular patrols of the store to detect and prevent potential theft or fraudulent activities.
Observe and report any suspicious or criminal activity to the appropriate authorities.
Utilize surveillance cameras and other security equipment to monitor store activities.
Train and educate store employees on proper theft prevention and safety procedures.
Work closely with store management to identify and address potential security risks.
Conduct thorough investigations into any reported incidents and provide detailed reports.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
Monitor and control access to restricted areas and sensitive information.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all security-related incidents.
Assist in the implementation of loss prevention strategies and procedures.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with any security or safety-related concerns.
Stay up-to-date on the latest security and safety protocols and procedures.
Take appropriate actions to enforce company policies and procedures.
Demonstrate a strong sense of integrity and ethical behavior at all times.

Job Qualifications
Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques, Such As Cctv Monitoring, Merchandise Protection, And Inventory Audits, Is Necessary For This Role.
Experience In Retail Security: Previous Experience In A Retail Security Role, Preferably In A Large Retail Chain, Is An Important Qualification For An Asset Protection Associate At Jcpenney.
Strong Analytical Skills: The Ability To Analyze Data And Identify Trends Or Patterns Is Crucial For An Asset Protection Associate, As They Will Be Responsible For Identifying Potential Areas Of Risk And Implementing Appropriate Measures To Mitigate Them.
