Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and assisting with product location.
Operate cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
Verify and accurately enter prescription information into the computer system.
Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure timely and accurate filling of prescriptions.
Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to privacy and safety.
Educate customers on prescription medication and over-the-counter products.
Process insurance claims and handle payments from third-party payers.
Keep track of inventory and restock shelves as needed.
Handle customer complaints and escalate to management when necessary.
Maintain knowledge of current promotions and sales to inform customers.
Adhere to all federal and state regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
Continuously develop knowledge of pharmacy operations and products through training and education.
Uphold a positive and professional image of Walgreens at all times.

Job Qualifications
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Candidates For A Pharmacy Cashier Position At Walgreens Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Strong Customer Service Skills: As A Pharmacy Cashier, Candidates Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis, So Having Excellent Customer Service Skills Is Essential.
Basic Math And Computer Skills: Pharmacy Cashiers Need To Accurately Handle Cash Transactions And Use Computer Systems To Process Sales And Manage Inventory, So Having Basic Math And Computer Skills Is Necessary.
Knowledge Of Pharmaceuticals And Medical Terminology: While Not Required, Having Knowledge Of Pharmaceuticals And Medical Terminology Can Be Beneficial In Understanding Customer Needs And Accurately Entering Prescription Information.
Ability To Multitask And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Pharmacy Cashiers Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks At Once, Such As Ringing Up Purchases While Answering Customer Questions And Phone Calls. They Should Also Be Able To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
