Providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Adult Acute Care Medicine unit.
Utilizing advanced knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
Monitoring and documenting patient progress and responding to any changes in condition.
Utilizing telemetry skills to monitor and interpret data, and intervene as needed.
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records.
Educating patients and their families about their health conditions, treatments, and medications.
Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
Adhering to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Participating in ongoing education and professional development to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and promote positive patient outcomes.
Demonstrating a commitment to ethical and professional standards of practice.
Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of best practices in nursing.

Job Qualifications
Active Rn License: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Rn License In The State Of Connecticut, And Must Maintain This License Throughout Their Employment At Yale New Haven Health System.
Acute Care Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Acute Care Setting Is Required For This Role, With A Focus On Adult Patients. This Experience Should Include Working With Patients With Complex Medical Needs, And Managing Multiple Patients Simultaneously.
Certification In Adult Acute Care: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid Certification In Adult Acute Care, Such As The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Agacnp) Certification From The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc).
Telemetry Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Telemetry Monitoring Systems And Interpreting Results. This Includes Experience With Ekg Interpretation, And The Ability To Recognize And Respond To Changes In Cardiac Rhythms.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Role Of An Rn In An Acute Care Setting Requires Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Effectively Within A Multidisciplinary Team. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, And Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
