Provide compassionate and skilled care to adult patients with complex medical conditions in a fast-paced and innovative Telemetry unit.
Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Monitor and assess patient vital signs, telemetry readings, and other health indicators to identify and address any changes in condition.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards to ensure a safe and healing environment for patients.
Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve nursing skills and knowledge.
Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced staff members.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing Is Required For The Rn-Adult Acute Care Medicine With Telemetry Position At Yale New Haven Health System. This Degree Ensures That The Candidate Is Well-Versed In The Fundamentals Of Nursing And Has A Strong Foundation In Patient Care.
Active Rn License: The Candidate Must Possess An Active And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Connecticut. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Necessary Requirements To Practice As A Registered Nurse And Is Legally Authorized To Provide Patient Care.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Acute Care Experience: To Be Considered For The Rn-Adult Acute Care Medicine With Telemetry Position, The Candidate Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Acute Care Setting. This Experience Allows The Candidate To Handle The Fast-Paced And Demanding Environment Of Acute Care Medicine With Ease.
Certification In Adult Acute Care: A Certification In Adult Acute Care From An Accredited Organization, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc), Is Highly Preferred For This Position. This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate’s Knowledge And Expertise In Providing Specialized Care To Adult Patients In An Acute Care Setting.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills To Excel In This Position. As An Rn-Adult Acute Care Medicine With Telemetry, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Coordinating Care, Communicating With Patients And Their Families, And Making Quick And Accurate Decisions In Emergency Situations.
