Provide exceptional patient care: The primary responsibility of this role is to provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients in the Adult Acute Care Medicine and Telemetry department. This includes administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assessing patient needs.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team: As an RN, you will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Maintain accurate patient records: It is essential to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, vital signs, and treatment plans. This responsibility ensures continuity of care and allows for effective communication with other healthcare professionals.
Monitor patient progress and report any changes: RNs must closely monitor patients’ progress and report any significant changes to the medical team promptly. This includes changes in vital signs, symptoms, and reactions to medication.
Educate patients and families: RNs play a crucial role in educating patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and self-care techniques. This responsibility helps to promote positive health outcomes and empowers patients to take an active role in their recovery.
Adhere to healthcare best practices and protocols: It is the responsibility of an RN to follow established healthcare best practices and protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of patients. This includes infection control measures, medication administration guidelines, and emergency procedures.
Continuously develop professional skills and knowledge: As a healthcare professional, it is essential to stay updated on the latest medical advancements, best practices, and protocols. RNs are responsible for continuously developing their skills and knowledge through training, workshops, and other educational opportunities.
Maintain a safe and clean environment: RNs are responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This includes following infection control protocols, ensuring equipment is properly sanitized, and maintaining a clutter-free and organized workspace.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.
Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications.
Current Rn License In The State Of Connecticut.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Adult Acute Care Medicine, With Experience In Telemetry Preferred.
Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams To Provide High Quality Patient Care.
