Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients with complex medical needs in the Medical Oncology, Sickle Cell, and Tele Unit.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Assess and monitor patient’s physical and emotional well-being, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and ensure accurate documentation of all interventions.
Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide high-quality and patient-centered care.
Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate and address potential complications in patient care.
Keep up-to-date with current healthcare practices and procedures, and participate in ongoing education and training.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing: The Candidate Should Possess A Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Practices.
Rn License: The Candidate Should Hold A Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Connecticut. This License Is Required To Practice As A Nurse In Any Healthcare Setting.
Oncology And Sickle Cell Certification: The Candidate Should Hold A Certification In Medical Oncology And Sickle Cell Disease. This Demonstrates The Candidate’s Specialized Knowledge And Skills In These Areas, Which Are Crucial For Providing Quality Care In This Unit.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Medical Oncology Or Sickle Cell Unit. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Specialized Care And Treatments Required For Patients In This Unit.
Bls And Acls Certification: The Candidate Should Hold Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications. These Certifications Are Necessary For Responding To Emergencies And Providing Life-Saving Interventions In A Fast-Paced Unit Like Medical Oncology And Sickle Cell.
